SMS will offer the additional functionality as an option within its existing SMS|World module, which is already in broad use throughout the SMS customer base worldwide. By embedding the SynXis GDS and IDS functionality inside SMS|World, SMS customers will be able to take advantage of true single-image inventory over world-wide distribution channels. Channels enabled through SynXis will have the same real-time capabilities, automatically deploying rates and availability, and generating reservations into SMS|Host electronically.

The SynXis Agent® embedded within SMS|World empowers hotel operators to consolidate and manage hotel inventory from all sources, including GDS connectivity, more than 1200 popular Internet travel sites, and travel agents globally. SMS|Host enables users to manage distribution channels from a central control center, and provides integrated CRES and Enterprise-level CRES functionality. Meanwhile, SMS|World provides web bookings generated through the enterprise or property web-site without any reservation fees.
